It’s been a productive first quarter for Andrew. As Andrew finds a new creative stride, here are the top three books you should get either for yourself or as a gift. Below are three key books available now:
- How to do Photographic Story Telling: Including composition and posing ideas (Non-fiction resource > Photography)
- The Journey Journal: Plan, Prepare, Proceed (Non-fiction > Resource > Journal)
- Future Ancestors: A book of generated stories (hybrid fiction > Sci-fi > cyberpunk)

How to do Photographic Story Telling
This book provides an easy to access insight into Andrew’s way of thinking about photography, and how he makes each and every photo intriguing. He argues that the difference between a ‘snap’ and a ‘photograph’ is the depth of thought put into each click of the camera. Learn his secrets. There are inspirational quotes from famous photographers. And lots and lots of examples of the points he makes. Truly, a book any budding photographer will want to keep (and never share).

The Journey Journal: Plan, Prepare, Proceed

The book includes short essays giving useful advice and encouragement for travellers and especially for expats and international travellers. The book includes inspirational quotes, and a language notes section for first time travellers.

Future Ancestors: A book of generated stories
This is probably the first work of fiction to be published using content generated by Artificial Intelligence (AI). It’s probably the first hybrid-fiction (both AI and human written), and the first in the cyberpunk genre. The book explores humanity and how it continues to carry out it’s business in a future with technology even more woven into our lives. It’s also an interesting look at the quality of language AI can produce. A book that should prove fascinating for sci-fi and cyberpunk fans, sociolinguists, technologists, and AI fans.
